Adult Beginner School of Sewing – Evening
This class is for people who have limited sewing knowledge and want to learn more in-depth projects. Over eight 2.5 hour sessions we will cover the anatomy of a sewing machine, types of presser feet, reading a pattern, rotary cutting, pressing/ironing, using interfacing, and different sewing techniques such as ruffling, pleats, and putting in a zipper – all while making 8 fun useful things to keep for yourself or give as gifts. There is homework for this class.
Thursday Evenings 6:00-8:30
Teacher: Ericka Birkett
This class teaches beginner sewing skills but you MUST know how to use your sewing machine, if you do not know how let us know beforehand and we can schedule a lesson for you before the class starts. Lessons on how to use your machine are free if you purchased your machine from Thread & Paper or $30 for 1/2 hour if it was purchased elsewhere.
